Da Vinci Geometry
We are studying Leonardo Da Vinci this week because it is Science week. This morning we tried to build 3D shapes out of straws and the draw them.
Year 1 cricket 2019
Year 1 had a great time learning how to play cricket this morning. We have some really good players in this class.

We had a lovely sunny day and explored lots of places in Little Langdale.
Mixing colours
A lovely afternoon spent mixing colours and trying to match them up to the paintings of Japanese artist Hokusai

3D shapes
We have been exploring 3D shapes and shape nets by making our own, naming them and discussing their properties.
Craters on Mars
We have been investigating how craters may have been formed on Mars by dropping meteorites from different heights and measuring the size of the craters. Stephen Hawking is inspiring us to find out more about space. English, maths and science in one lesson!
Fell-walking day 1
Some children from Year 2 visited Coniston Water and Cathedral Quarry. We had sunshine and showers but lots of fun.
