We learned all about what Birthdays were like when Wordsworth was alive. We wrote poetry inspired by "I Wandered Lonely as a cloud." We made Birthday cards for Wordsworth, who would have been 250 this year and we tried some Westmorland Dancing.
Jake and Jo from Cumbria Cricket came to work with us today. We worked on throwing and catching and had a game of cricket.

Our wonderful choir sang at Furness General Hospital along wit ST George's Schools. We had a wonderful time. Thank you to The Rotary for inviting us and all the parents that joined. A special thanks to The grinch who made a surprise appearance.
We all squashed into the library bus to listen to a story, then we all chose a book to read.
We love our quiet critters. We have to work really quietly or they hide in their jar.
In Year 2 we have written the instructions for making a fruit cocktail. We used lots of imperative verbs like chop, wash, peel, mix and stir. Then we followed our instructions to make the fruit cocktail. It was delicious.
