We have had a fun day chopping vegetables, cooking stir fry, eating with chopsticks (kind of) and drinking jasmine tea. Happy Chinese New Year all

We really enjoyed learning about the culture and traditions of the Chinese New Year festival. We prepared all our banquet ourselves and it tasted delicious! 

We made the animals of the Chinese Calendar using Tangrams.

We have been writing stories in Chinese characters, making collage roosters and decorated cakes to celebrate Chinese New Year

The children handled real kitchen knives and prepared a Chinese stir fry meal. It tasted incredible!

Year 5 worked hard at The Academy during a Sports Science Transition morning.

We have started practicing for the dance festival today. Thank you to Amanda from Dare Dance who is helping us.

As part of our Roman topic, each child has designed a Roman Shield. We will be making them over the next couple of weeks.

Today we have been holding a debate. Each child took on a role and had to convince the others of their point of view. 

Thanks to all that have helped raise money this year for the new playtime equipment.

Yesterday we received the new Basket Ball Nets. They will be up soon for all the children to enjoy.
