We have been exploring 3D shapes and shape nets by making our own, naming them and discussing their properties.  

We have been investigating how craters may have been formed on Mars  by dropping meteorites from different heights and measuring the size of the craters. Stephen Hawking is inspiring us to find out more about space.  English, maths and science in one lesson!

Some children from Year 2 visited Coniston Water and Cathedral Quarry.  We had sunshine and showers but lots of fun.

The skateboarding legends of Year 5! 

We had a great time skateboarding. We learnt some tricks and had great fun.

We had an Eggcellent time investigating materials to see which one would protect an egg if we dropped it. 

We have been exploring how the planets move and looking at different theories over time. We looked at heliocentric and geocentric models. 

Lovely end of Sats treat for our fantastic year 6 class! Well done everyone!

Years 3 and 4 STEM Club have made balloon powered cars.

We are going to race them next week.
