We are reading Coming Home. It is a lovely Christmas story written as a poem about a robin's journey home.

We have performed part of it and are doing lots of robin themed activities.

Year 1 worked hard using their DT sewing skills to making Christmas tree decorations.

A fab afternoon investigating dissolving and separating different solids and liquids. We learned lots of new vocabulary 

Jim Hawkins has found a map in Treasure Island, and so have we! 

We are learning how to draw shapes with code so we can code a snowman.

We found out that an advent tradition in Germany is to leave your shoes  out for St Nicholas to leave sweets in.

We tried it and it worked!

After a wet day Year 1 decided we would have a good move around and dance.

We left our shoes out to see if St Nicolas would bring us sweets.

We have used every doubloon and message in a bottle we have to create an exciting pirate story. 

Year 1 had lots of fun using their DT skills to make pop up Christmas cards.

We visited the Library Bus this morning and chose lots of exciting books to read.

We have been taking part in a survey for Staedtler pencils and have been trying lots of different types and writing down our opinions to send back to the Staedtler company. Year 5 are now pencil connoisseurs!
