Years 5 and 6 went to Signal Films today to engage with an interactive art exhibition of their work based on a positive future.

We used red, blue and yellow (primary colours) to mix secondary and then tertiary colours.

We worked with a partner to create paired balances.

We used paint to create digital bonfire night paintings.

We had great fun this afternoon learning some Charleston moves in our dance lesson. We also practised cheeky faces to go along with our dance. 

We diluted ink and created swatches of the different tones. Once we were happy with our tone we inkwashed our drawings.

We used a template to cut out the pieces then used a cool glue gun to create our poppies.

As Debby wasn't available today we did some boomwacking instead of our usual violin lesson.

Andy Tooze inspired us to write poems about animals. The children enjoyed listening to some of his poems and were enthusiastic about writing their own

We wore our jamas to celebrate Roald Dahl Day!

We did Rugby with Barrow Raiders this afternoon.
