We diluted ink and created swatches of the different tones. Once we were happy with our tone we inkwashed our drawings.

We used a template to cut out the pieces then used a cool glue gun to create our poppies.

As Debby wasn't available today we did some boomwacking instead of our usual violin lesson.

Andy Tooze inspired us to write poems about animals. The children enjoyed listening to some of his poems and were enthusiastic about writing their own

We wore our jamas to celebrate Roald Dahl Day!

We did Rugby with Barrow Raiders this afternoon.

We created a role on wall for Hannah from Gorilla by Anthony Browne.

We are working on changing direction.

Debby came in today for our first violin lesson. We did some clapping rhythms. We learnt how to pick up our violins and we plucked the strings. We realised they all sound different.

Year 4 had an amazing time at Great Tower!

We did raft building, crate stacking a sensory trail and sung songs and played games around the campfire.

The children were amazing! They looked after each other and had a tried their best with everything.

We all got to be palaeontologists this morning. We carefully brushed away the sand to find fossils. We also held some dinosaur poo.

Year 4 had lots of fun this afternoon testing the kites they deigned and made in design and technology.

We hunted for invertebrates around the school grounds and worked out what they were using a classification key. We visited year 2s bug hotels on the field to check who had moved in.
