Gymnastics 23.1.22
We got the ropes out in gymnastics this afternoon. Lots of people made it to the top!
Investigating Circuits
We tried to work out how to light a bulb! We used wires cells and bulbs and worked out what we needed to do to light up the bulbs. Then we added more cells and made the bulbs brighter.
Investigating Area
We started learning about area today. We investigated how many different shapes we could make with the same area.
Poetry Workshop
Year 4 had a great morning with Rommi Smith (resident Piet with the Wordsworth Trust). We used our matchboxes of inspiration to collect natural items to inspire our writing.
Children in Need and Odd Socks
We had a dress down day (and at the first count raised £200) for Children in Need. We also wore odd socks to celebrate the fact that we’re all different and support Anti Bullying Week.
Lottie
Year 4 are enjoying getting to know Lottie the axolotl! We have to feed her live worms and be nice and quiet in class so she can relax.
Digestive System
We used coke, weetabix and pop socks to simulate the digestive system. it was great fun but very messy and quite disgusting!
Firework Art
We created our own scratch off pictures using pastels. We also drew fireworks with glue, added salt then dropped paint onto it.
