What a fantastic morning we had at Dowdales, so many exciting things to do and such a lovely class. They are very full after the break time feast and making carrot cakes

. 

A great day at St Bernard's with lots of exciting activities. 

A fabulous day at Walney Nature Reserve with a brilliant class. We didn’t spot many seals but we played in the dunes, went on a bug hunt and had a wonderful walk 

Today in English we have been investigating the surface of Mars and the impact meteorites can have on the surface of a planet. Excellent science through English. 

Today we have been working on our map reading and compass skills

Thank you to Catherine from the Wordsworth Trust who came to see year 5 and do a review of our Shakespeare play. 

We are so very lucky, the author S F Said has sent us copy of his new book Tyger and dedicated it to the children of Roose School. 

This afternoon we have been dissecting flowers and identifying the different parts. 

What else to do on a really hot day but gardening and water fight. 

We have been learning about Hindu beliefs around reincarnation and what happens to the soul. Year 5 worked on some creative pieces about what they think happens to the soul. 

Turns out practicing for sports day is as much fun as sports day. 

Wow. These Anglo Saxon homework projects are amazing. Thank you so much for all of your hard work on these. We have enjoyed looking through them all this afternoon.
