Pencil Challenge
We have been taking part in a survey for Staedtler pencils and have been trying lots of different types and writing down our opinions to send back to the Staedtler company. Year 5 are now pencil connoisseurs!
Design and Technology in Year 2
We made a new chair for Little Bear.
Year 1 using number lines 2018.
Year 1 have been working hard using numbers lines to help with addition.
Finding treasure
We found a sea chest and have been exploring the treasure we found in it
Pop up books
We have been investigating how to make a pop up book this afternoon for our DT project.
Irreversible changes
We have been discussing changes in state and reversible and irreversible materials. We decided to put some baking powder and vinegar together to see what would happen. It was very exciting.
Reflective Materials
We tested different materials to see which were reflective.
Sea and coastal defenders
We have been working hard today to find out about coastal defence and how to prevent longshore drift. We made and tested some sea walls and wrote a powerpoint based on our findings.
Year 1 making pink 2018
Year 1 have been doing instruction writing this half term. We have had to follow instructions and write our own. We made pink using red and white. We the wrote the instructions how to do this.
