Class of 2022

We went to Coniston Water, Cathedral Quarry and climbed The Bell.

We have grown some grasshead people. We put soil and grass seeds in a sock. We watered them each day. After about five days the grass started to grow. Then we made faces to put on them.

We have listened to the story of The Last Supper and created our own artwork.  We have talked about our own special meals.  

Here are some more interesting books.   

Year 2 have listened to the story 'Dog Loves Drawing' by Louise Yates.  One day the dog receives a parcel and discovers it's a blank book. He creates his own story.  Year 2 were given blank books and asked to make their own books.  

We read Sticman then created our own Stickman animations.

We have learnt lots of facts about Brazil. We have sketched the Christ the Redeemer statue, which is in Rio de Janeiro. Next time you're in school pop in and see our display in the hall.

Year 2 having fun at Furness Abbey this morning.

Usef from Sierra Leone came into year 1 to tell us some African stories. We absolutely loved them - very exciting!!! 

We had a brilliant start to the day learning a carnival dance from Trinidad! We all tried our best and really enjoyed ourselves.

We loved our visit to Roose library where we listened to stories, took part in a story hunt and chose a book on our class library card.
