We had a lovely time at our first Stay and Play in Reception. Looking forward to the next one.  

Well done to everyone who took part in the girls football competiton at Furness Academy. Roose team won a game, drew a game and lost one. Amazing skills, teamwork and sportsmanship was on display by all. So proud of you all. 

In maths this week Reception have been measuring and comparing size, mass and capacity. We compared sizes of animals, measured and compared our feet length, compared the capacity of different containers and compared mass using the balance scales 

In our Pathways to Write lessons we have enjoyed reading The Gingerbread Man. This week we have been retelling the story, acting out the story and designing new cakes for Mr and Mrs Baker to make in their bakery. We sent our designs off to Mr and Mrs Baker and they sent us some baking ingredients…

Our wonderful Year 5 at the Football Festival at Furness Academy. Superb behaviour and sportsmanship was demonstrated by all. 

Lots of fun in Reception settling in and building relationships.

Reception and Year 5 enjoying reading time this morning. 

Reception enjoyed a lovely story on the Library Bus today called Be Good Gordon. We then chose a book to borrow.

Super teamwork from the Year 5 and 6 children at Craven Park today at the rugby tournament. 

Year 4 have had a lovely afternoon at the Multi Skills festival at Furness Academy. 

Congratulations to our Year 4 football team who came first place in the football tournament at Furness Academy and are through to the County finals in Carlisle.
