Year 6 were brilliant today. They helped Nursery with their sports day setting up equipment and helping the children with their races. At the end, they had a race of their own which they really enjoyed. Well done everyone.
Year 6 had a visit from the ice cream van today at school. It was a treat for finishing Sats and working hard all week. Most of them chose an ice blast with ice cream on top. Well done everyone. You were all stars.
After completing their first Sats test today, Year 6 had fun playing on the infants' bikes.
Year 6 took part in yoga this afternoon with Liane. They learned all about ways to keep themselves calm before going to bed and techniques to keep calm. I'm sure many fell asleep during the session.
Year 6 had fun this afternoon playing Wheelchair Basketball. They loved it after a hard week of tests. Well done everyone, you've been brilliant.
Year 6 all dressed up in their costumes for World Book Day.
Year 6 enjoyed our science investigation yesterday where they were predicting which bird beak would be the best for picking up the type of food provided.
Year 6 enjoyed doing gymnastics today. They loved going on the ropes and the tall apparatus.
Seen as it's Children's Mental Health Week, we made support balloons in class. We decorated our balloons really colourfully and thought about the people who support us or help us, and placed these people in the clouds around the outside.
In class, Year 6 were looking at the works of Wassily Kandinsky. We then produced our own versions of abstract art and are going to make a display of them in school.
Year 6 were finding out about evolution and adaptation. They then went on to design their own new species using what they had learnt in the lesson.
Year 6 enjoyed their Taster Tennis Session today. Gary, the coach, was extremely impressed with our skills and how well we listened.
